Our clinic is located in El Testerazo. We will meet on campus around 5:00 am and be caravanning across the border. We cross at the Tecate Border and then travel roughly 45 minute further into Mexico. During the day, you will be assigned to a team with possible teams including dentistry, triage, medical scribe, and more possibilities depending on the needs of the current clinics. We stay until we can see as many patients as possible. We stop for some yummy tacos on the way back and return to Irvine between 8:00-10:00pm the same day we left.

HOw to attend

Clinic trips are what our members at Flying Sams are always impatiently waiting for.

These fabulous all day trips take place on the last Saturday of every month. Starting the day at 5am, we drive to the clinic to provide healthcare to our patients. Eagerly waiting for us, our patients smile and wave as we arrive, while the younger kids are excited to play.

Due to the limited amount of seats, acceptance on clinic trips are reserved for members who dedicate active participation and passion towards our organization. It is imperative for all members to be as involved as possible. This includes, but is not limited to: attending the general meetings, committee meetings, social events, and fundraising events.

Accumulate membership points and get to know the members of our organization to have the rewarding opportunity of attending these monthly clinic trips.

In order to attend clinic trips, each attendee must fulfill the following requirements:

⚕️ Have a high level of activity in the club
⚕️ Bring trip fee (Zelle or cash on day of clinic trip, Zelle preferred)
⚕️ Complete the Mandatory Mock Clinic (usually held the day before clinic)
⚕️ Bring Passport/Passport Card
⚕️ Attire: Flying Sams scrubs set (available for purchase through general meetings and mock clinics) or neutral colored scrubs
⚕️ Have a positively, AWESOME attitude
